Ever wondered what people search for on the Internet when they believe no one’s “looking”? If you work as an SEO (search engine optimization analyst), you have probably undertaken the dubious task of looking through databases of real search queries. Usually they are boring and practical, but occasionally there are some keywords so extraordinarily vulgar or inexplicable, that they beg for your contemplation.
And thus, SEOLOL.net was born.
I discovered this site, created by Jason Hellmann, after having this exact idea and investigating the availability of SEOLOL.com. Although sad I was late on the idea, I was happy to see that I wasn’t the only SEO out there who could not overcome the hilariousness of bizarre keywords. I got a hold of Jason a few months back and am happy to be a contributor on behalf of Brasky.org.

This stuff makes for a great Twitter follow, so I encourage you to add SEOLOL’s Twitter to your list.
Footnote: These keywords are not true Google queries, but actually come form shitty search engines that need to sell their data to pay for their servers.

I spent all 40 hours of my first week as an SEO Analyst doing keyword research.
The first wtf phrase I encountered was, “what does a deer mice look like in the woods”. I was very amused by it at the time, but it’s hardly comparable to some of the other keywords I’ve encountered.
SEOLOL just got featured on geeksugar, did you guys have something to do with this? If so…you rock. If not, I guess you still rock.
